When Captain Mike takes you out on the flats, it can either be fly-fishing or a light-tackle spinning adventure and your charter fees cover the boat and all fishing gear and tackle, but your lunch and beverages are not included, so be sure to plan and pack accordingly. Charters can either go out for a half day or full day trip and any fish you catch on the charter are yours to keep.
The boat you will be fishing from is a very specialized craft, designed specifically for this type of fishing with a shallow, flat hull fitted with a platform at the stern from which Captain Mike can pole the vessel into the shallow waters with the outboard raised. From this elevated position he is able to see the fish at which you will be casting. Talk about exhilarating fishing!
